We firmly believe that anyone can sew anything with patience and perseverance, but sometimes it helps to understand how time-consuming or challenging a pattern will be to sew. Here's how we rate the difficulty of our patterns:
Beginner (⭑): Appropriate for a true beginner with simple style lines and details, quick to sew with no closures.
Confident Beginner (⭑⭑): Achievable for beginners who are willing to learn a new skill, may include more design features and techniques (ie. zippers, buttons, facings, etc). Relatively quick to sew.
Intermediate (⭑⭑⭑): More details and style lines, may include interesting details like a zipper fly or topstitching, projects can take 6+ hours to sew.
Advanced (⭑⭑⭑⭑): Still achievable for most sewists, but patterns will include more pieces and more details, and can take 8+ hours to sew.
Challenging(⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑): Complex, skill heavy projects like tailoring and bra-making. Again, achievable for most sewists but be prepared to spend 10+ hours on these types of projects.

Twirl the night away in Zelda, a drop-waisted 1920s meets 50s meets 80s party skirt. The fitted yoke sits at the natural waist and is finished with a facing for a seamless look. The skirt closes with an invisible zipper at the center back. Gently curving from the center into a point at the side seams, the close-fit of the dropwaist blossoms into a densely gathered midi-length skirt. A beautiful separate to pair with all your tops, it shines in structured wovens that highlight the fullness of the silhouette.
The Zelda skirt is great but not me. To understand why, you have to know that I am 69 years old and I have already lived the era of full tiered skirt (I have made a few!!).
The Decades series of 2025 was not my favorate (2024 however was GREAT). I have downloaded the patterns as I believe my niece will very much like it (I am her personal sewer!!)
But I really enjoy the community and love to see how inventive some sewers are, it gives me inspiration. So please continue! Thank you

April’s Plan
As it is real winter here in Ontario, so I am winter sewing now - a fleece Marlo sweater. I will be making Zelda in April, can’t wait - it’s going to be beautiful!

What a fabulous skirt 💕✨️
Zelda is my very first fitted skirt and I learned so much making it, it is my first time installing hidden zipper in a skirt, too. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, just what you will expect from ClosetCoreCrew, always always excellent. ♥️♥️♥️
I recently made the Adriana, I love this 2 piece set. Closet Cores instructions are easy to follow, I always look forward to a CC make. I keep coming back to their patterns because they are on trend and don't feel intimidating even for beginners.
I've just finished the Frank jeans (mid rise, straight leg) and I'm thrilled with the result. I really enjoyed the class and learnt a lot from it. It was very easy to pick up where I'd left off (jeans made over a month or so) and the fact that you left in little mistakes and showed how to fix them rather than pretend they'd never happened was very comforting!! They aren't perfect but are better than if I'd done it on my own. Will definitely follow along for the next pair I make. Thanks!
I got a bit confused initially by the borderless pattern. But I have almost finished the shorts which I intend to use as pyjamas on a forthcoming trip to Madrid. I am going to hem the bottom edge rather than topstitching. I made the pockets out of contrasting fabric (as I don't have much of the intended fabric) and that might have been a mistake as I didn't realise how much would be 'on show' (assuming I have got things right). But I think it will look OK once the waistband is done.
